Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy ("Policy") outlines the warranty terms and conditions for The Dunk ("Product") and its individual components, including the bathtub, chiller, and plumbing components. The warranty provided for each component is two (2) years from the date of purchase with the option of an extra year (1) warranty at an 8% increase of the retail price of the product. Please read this Policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities as a customer.

 

Warranty Coverage

1. Bathtub: The bathtub component of The Dunk is covered by a two (2) years warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If the bathtub is found to be defective within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part or the entire bathtub.

2. Chiller: The chiller component of The Dunk is covered by a two (2) years warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If the chiller is found to be defective within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part or the entire chiller.

3. Plumbing Components: The plumbing components of The Dunk, including valves, hoses, and fittings, are covered by a two (2) years warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If any plumbing component is found to be defective within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part.

 

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damages or defects resulting from:
a) Improper installation, misuse, or neglect of the Product.
b) Modifications or alterations to the Product not authorized by the manufacturer.
c) Accident damage, acts of nature, fire, water, or other external causes.
d) Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the Product.
e) Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation, use, and maintenance.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim, you must:
a) Contact our customer support within the warranty period and provide proof of purchase.
b) Describe the issue or defect in detail and provide any supporting evidence, such as photographs or videos, if requested.
c) Follow any additional instructions provided by our customer support team.

 

If the warranty claim is deemed valid, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part or the entire component. The repaired or replaced part will be covered by the remaining warranty period or, if applicable, a new one-year warranty.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts or components. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Product.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or related to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.
Modifications to the Policy
We reserve the right to modify or update this Warranty Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Policy on our website. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically.

Refund Policy - the basics

Return policy

At the Dunk, we are committed to delivering only the best product to our customers. However, If you are unhappy with your Dunk for any reason, please review our Refund Policy.

 

Return Eligibility

You have 7 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.

Please note that this return policy is subject to change without prior notice. We recommend reviewing the policy periodically for any updates or modifications.

Non-refundable Items

Certain items may not be eligible for a refund, such as items that are damaged due to misuse or items not in their original condition.

 

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Please ensure that the item is returned in its original packaging. The original packaging helps protect the product during transit and ensures it arrives undamaged.

 

Return Process

1. Contact cooldown@thedunk.co.za to initiate a return

2. Securely package the item: Pack it item in its original packaging or in a suitable alternative to ensure it arrives undamaged.

3. Ship the return: Send the return package to the address provided by our Customer Support.

4. Inspection and Refund: Once we receive the returned item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets our return eligibility criteria. Please allow 7-10 business days from the receipt of the refund shipment for the refund to be processed.

5. Refund Notification: You will be emailed once your refund has been processed. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Exchanges for a different Dunk will be accommodated based on availability.
