Why Dunk

  • How often should I change the filter ?
    It is recommended to change out your filter every 3-4 weeks, based on a daily use by a single person. To extend the life of your filter, we recommend showering before every plunge and minimising the dirt and particles that enter the ice bath by using the top cover after every use. You can also remove the filter, clean it off and reuse it, should you wish to. We provide three (3) paper filter replacements with each order, and more can be purchased on our website
  • What is the Dunk warranty ?
    The warranty begins on the day of delivers. The inflatable has a one (1) year warranty, while the Dunk has a two (2) year warranty. For further information, please refer to our warranty.
  • Should I keep The Dunk inside or outside ?
    The Dunk model is designed to be used both indoors and outdoors. If you decide to keep The Dunk outside, we would recommend keeping it under cover, and out of direct sunlight. Any direct sunlight exposure will significantly affect cooling performance and cooling regulation. Pro tip: always use your weather cover when The Dunk is not in use, it will help insulate and maintain the cold water inside The Dunk
  • Do I need to add ice to the dunk ?
    Only with our inflatable product is ice required , but you don't have to add ice to our premium dunk baths , they have their own integrated chiller installed , keeping the water at a constant chilled temperature
  • What is the appropriate height for choosing an XL size
    Generally speaking, if you are over 6ft tall, an XL size would be the best fit.
  • Is it possible to connect a chiller to the inflatables?
    Yes, it is possible to connect a chiller to an inflatable. However, it's important to note that the cost of the chiller and the necessary filtration system can make this setup quite expensive. Rather than making this investment, we recommend considering a premium inflatable product, as it would likely provide better value and performance.
  • Should I shower after an ice bath?
    It’s best to air dry and warm up naturally to allow your body to adapt to the cold exposure. If needed, take a warm shower after 10-15 minutes.
  • Should I take an ice bath before or after a workout?
    It’s generally recommended after a workout to reduce muscle soreness. However, some studies suggest that ice baths immediately after strength training may inhibit muscle growth—so they might be better after endurance training.
  • How long should I soak in an ice bath for recovery ?
    The ideal time depends on your goal, for recovery we prefer the optimal time of 2–10 minutes at a temperature of 50–59°F (10–15°C) This Reduces inflammation, speeds up muscle recovery, and decreases soreness.
  • How often can you do an ice bath ?
    It depends on your goals, experience level, and how your body responds. For beginners we advice , 1–2 times per week to allow your body to adapt. If you are an Athletes that focuses on recovery we would suggest 3–4 times per week, especially after intense workouts. The hardcore advanced ice bath junkies , do it daily, but it’s important to listen to your body and avoid overdoing it. Each session should last 2–15 minutes, with water between 50–59°F (10–15°C).
